In 2005, Maine was the only state besides Louisiana (after their economy was drowned by hurricane Katrina!) to see a decline in economic activity according to a Federal Reserve study. In the time since, it has only gotten worse. Maine has seen many large employer's headquarters move out of state. With a few exceptions of companies that have welded their corporate image to Maine, many have sought better business climates out of state and even out of the country.

This website is dedicated to promoting the idea that corporations can be successful in expanding their operations in Maine. For this to happen, they have to look beyond the balance sheet to see the value of the special place that is Maine.
